The Hjukstrom UNEX GH 32-259D 16' / 4 gauge Booster Cables are built to boost batteries in any kind of weather conditions.

Build

These heavy-duty industrial grade booster cables are built to deliver up to 800 amp capacity and are made with 100% copper strands and conductors.

The oil and chemical resistant thermoplastic coating will remain tangle free at temperatures as low as -45°C.

Usage

Please use this guide (found below) for reference ONLY.

• Ensure vehicles are not touching each other
• Ensure battery vent caps are tightened and level
• If possible, place a damp cloth over vent caps on both batteries.
• Keep cloth away from moving parts
• Ensure both batteries are the same voltage - if a voltage source other than a car battery is used, the voltage should not exceed 16 volts and 8 volts for 12 and 6 volt systems respectively
• Turn off accessories in both vehicles
• Put automatic transmissions in park and manual transmissions in neutral and apply parking brakes.

Hook-Ups

Follow these hook-up instructions to minimize sparking: (For Negative Grounded Vehicles)

• Red clamp to positive (+) terminal on dead battery
• Red clamp to positive (+) terminal on live battery
• Black clamp to negative (-) terminal on live battery
• Black clamp to engine block of vehicle with dead battery
• Unhook in reverse order.

Safety

Always read the owner's manual for your vehicle before using these booster cables! 

Explosive gases are produced during a normal battery operation so provide adequate ventilation, DO NOT smoke around the battery, DO NOT lean over the battery, and DO NOT attempt to boost a dry or frozen battery.

When jump starting on a highway Back-to-Front positioning is safest for re-entering the traffic flow.

These booster cables in this package will allow Back-to-Front jump starts from compact to full sized cars.
