The Petzl AVAO BOD FAST Harness is built to provide comfort in both fall arrest and as a positioning harness for work at height. It is constructed to also suspend a worker for a longer period of time before rescue.
Build
In case of a fall when using the dorsal attachment point, the leg loops take most of the load resulting in longer suspension times before rescue.
The leg and waist belts are semi-ridged and wide with breathable foam that helps keep the wearer cool and comfortable.
A red strap will show if the harness has been in a fall and needs to be put out of service.

It is recommended to have a thorough inspection of the harness by a competent person at least once every 12 months.
Check the straps, webbing at all attachment points, any wear and damage, any cut threads, that the buckles operate properly, any stitching issues and that everything functions properly!
DO NOT remove any labels - Important safety documentation is on them that is required by law.
Clean harness with lukewarm soapy water. It can be washed in the washing machine but let it air dry to prevent shrinkage and damage.
