For Heavy Wall materials - 1/4" or less
Morse Suggests the following for using your Band Saw Blades at their MAXIMUM EFFICIENCY
- Start cut at 1/3 of machine weight to break in new blades.
- Do not bear down while cutting. Machine weight supplies sufficient pressure.
- Rock the machine gently while cutting for faster, more efficient cutting.
- Check chips generated during cutting. Purple or blue chips indicate excessive heat. Reduce speed and/or feed pressure.
- For enhanced performance, use a commercial cutting tool wax on the blade, especially when cutting aluminum or stainless steel.
Double the Cuts! Made with 1/4" x 1" Stainless Steel Bar Stock
- Band Saw Blade: A band saw blade is built as a continuous circle (or band) of metal with teeth along one edge. It's used with portable or stationary band saws to cut various workpieces.
