The Petzl Jane Non-Adjustable Dynamic Rope Lanyard is built as a work positioning device.
Build
This rope can be combined with an energy absorber to set up an I or Y energy-absorbing lanyard with a maximum length of two meters.
There is a plastic sheath sewn into both ends to protect them from abrasion so this rope will last longer.
Use with a connector to attach this rope to metal structures, large-diameter cables or bars.
The JANE is not an energy absorber, and cannot serve as a fall arrest device. Nevertheless, its dynamic capacity allows it to absorb short falls (fall factor less than 0.5) during limited movement at the workstation.
***The maximum acceptable fall height is equal to half the length of the lanyard.***
Non-adjustable and dynamic!
