The Makita DC18RC Charger charges 7.2V-18V Ni-Cad, Ni-MH and Li-Ion slide style batteries. It can charge a 18V (3.0 Ah) Li-Ion battery in just 22 minutes!
Build
The digital power display shows you the condition of battery and current charge level (-80%, +80%, 100%).
You can used this charger with an adapter (ADP04 - Part No. #193949-2) to charge pod or stick style batteries.

Charging
To maximize battery life, the charger is equipped with optimum charging system that utilizes 3 active controls: current, voltage and temperature.
It also ensures battery cannot be overcharged or overheated during the charging process.
Each battery is outfitted with a Central Processing Unit (CPU) that communicates with the charger to analyze battery and charge according to its unique condition.
There is a forced air cooling fan that keeps battery at optimum charging temperature and prevents over heating.
