The Makita 1-9/16” Cordless Rotary Hammer with Brushless Motor and AWS is built to both drill and hammer drill into concrete and masonry.
Build
This cordless, brushless rotary hammer is built with eXtreme Protection Technology (XPT) which offers maximum protection against dust, debris, and liquids for optimal performance in extreme conditions.
Advanced Anti-Vibration Technology (AVT) system incorporates vibration absorbing housing, active dynamic vibration absorber and damper spring to actively counteract the vibration of the tool for greatly reduced transmission to the operator.
Comes with two modes of operation: Rotation / Rotation + Hammer so you can drill and hammer drill all in one tool.
Built-in LED job light has both pre-glow and after-glow features to help illuminate your work area!
Power
Get corded power with cordless convenience with this tool that operates on two 18V Li-ion batteries for a combined 36V performance.
This tool has a soft start feature that gradually increases speed to eliminate start-up shock, constant speed control to maintain speed under load, a one-touch SDS-Max sliding chuck for easy bit installation and removal, and variable speed control that allows you to control the speed required based on the material.
AWS (Auto-Start Wireless System) uses Bluetooth® technology to communicate between the tool and optional vacuum and enables wireless control when used with Makita AWS cordless tools.
The brushless DC motor generates less heat buildup and is ideal for prolonged use in manufacturing/production applications.
Safety
This rotary hammer has a trigger-lock button that prevents accidental start-up for increased safety and a torque limiter that stops bit rotation if bit jams for increased operator safety and tool protection.
The ergonomic soft rubber grip on the straight and D-style handles helps to absorb vibrations and increase user comfort.
